I’m no student of philosophy, but when a philosopher says he thinks something is “genuine”, I think you need to read the small print.

Forget Immanence, Re-Think Transcendence « Foucault Is Dead:

“A few nights ago, I watched a television documentary about the supernatural case known as the Enfield Poltergeist, a period of apparent poltergeist activity within one family in the late 1970s. I have theoretical and empirical reasons to believe that this is a genuine case, which I will lay out here.”
