It would be absolutely perfect if he also had an extensive collection of Kraftwerk albums.
Beauty: Heather Hodson interviews the King of Collagen, Dr Frederic Brandt | Life and style | The Observer
“Dr Frederic Brandt has several claims to fame. He is, for instance, the largest user of injectable collagen and Botox - in the world. ‘I just love fillers!’ he tells me. And how. When we meet at his New York clinic he wastes no time in revealing that he regularly injects himself.”

Robots that look like humans. One of the weirdest and most inspiring things I can think of. Whilst this particular robot does look somewhat creepy, at the same time it does look reasonably human, and indeed is designed to closely mimic human behaviour in one particular scenario - a patient in the dentist’s chair.
But, as usual my mind is in the gutter, and after I read this posting over on the excellent Pink Tentacle blog, I thought of an entirely different application for this kind of technology.
Simroid: Dentistry in the uncanny valley (video) ::: Pink Tentacle:
“Kokoro says that for an extra touch of realism, Simroid exhibits a gag reflex when instruments are inserted too far into her mouth.”
If I owned one I would call her Priss, obviously.
Enough already.

The Indonesian fisherman named Dede was also featured in the October 2007 edition of the Fortean Times. There’s hope for him though, as a US Doctor, Anthony Gaspari, thinks he has a cure for this remarkable condition:
Tree man ‘who grew roots’ may be cured - Telegraph:
“An Indonesian fisherman who feared that he would be killed by tree-like growths covering his body has been given hope of recovery by an American doctor - and Vitamin A.”
Dr Gaspari says he has never seen anything like this before - but I wonder if he is familiar with the case of this Eastern European (Romanian?) man who has a similarly bizarre condition?

I was in the sushi bar in question, two days before Litvinenko was poisoned.
Litvinenko poisoning caused limited public concern:
“Despite involving radioactive contamination in the heart of a major city, these results show that the polonium incident caused limited public concern about potential health risks, say the authors.”

She always said she had a family, and nobody believed her. Until now.
Falsely accused woman freed after 70 years - Telegraph:
“She was sectioned under the 1890 Lunacy Act and even though the money was later found, she has been moved from mental institution to mental institution. More recently, she went into a care home and has been lost to her family, who thought she was dead.”

The old “Limey with the bad teeth” stereotype was bad enough. Americans are never going to let us forget this one.
Anyone fancy a snog?

The Short Fat Kid:
“The best way to describe the experience that I could think of would be to imagine me trying to fit into the pants I wore in high school. In this illustration imagine my pants as your urinary track and my fat ass as a kidney stone. Get the picture?”
